Development on my "Panchapeeta vision"

I am determined to wholeheartedly work on my “Panchapeeta vision”- “Water, Power, Education, Health and Roads”, the harbinger of real time “Smart Village” rather than on utopian concepts.

While, I have spoken in the Assembly about the mediocrity of Socio-physical infrastructure in my constituency, I hereby request the State and the Central Government to respond to the issues raised by me and facilitate in my efforts to implement my “Panchapeeta vision”.

Major Achievements & Various Initiatives

1

RGGS-2014

The Ministry of Panchayath Raj, Government of India, has selected Anadura Gram Panchayat in Bidar Taluk for the prestigious National award, the “Rashtriya Gourav Gram Sabha Puraskar (RGGS-2014)” for good Governance and Best Performance in the year 2013-14.

2

Major District Roads

For the first time, for the construction of Udbal-Hallikhed and road connecting Bidar and Sulthanpur road the cement concrete pavement is proposed for the first time for MDR’s. The thickness of M30 PQC is 250mm. Major District Roads are constructed using WMM of 225mm thick and BM of 50mm thick for the crust against the normal practice of WBM of 150mm thick and MSS of 20mm thick. This method is followed for roads Mannahalli to Barur and Bagdal to Barur.

3

Health camp

On Gandhi Jayanthi day in 2013, a five days health camp program was conducted in the hospitals of the constituency. A Proposal has been sent to the Ministry of Health to grant of ambulances to various Health Centers in the Constituency.

3

Surveys

As a first step, I have got the village inventory surveys being carried out on all the 124 village settlements which include 26 Thandas and 9 Wadi’s/ village extensions (Or settlements in ravines) coming under the jurisdiction of 35 Gram Panchayath’s of my Constituency. Though the task was humongous, spatial plans were prepared and the status of social and physical infrastructure was registered. In a nutshell, we now have an understanding of, “How much of Roads and drains have to be constructed, how much of Street lights have to be installed, how many bore wells need to be replaced/ installed, how many roads don’t have water supply pipe line and how many water supply pipe lines are of sub-standard quality and are in broken and dilapidated condition, the conditions of health centers, Schools, Government Hostels and Anganawadi centers, etc.,”.

4

Pension Mela

Pension Mela is periodically carried out by the office of Hon’ble MLA, and the Old, Widow and Infirm(Handicap) people to an extent of 15812 people were benefitted.

5

Six (6) offices

For facilitating the villagers to get their applications processed in various Departments, the Hon'ble MLA has established Six (6) offices (with one Computer operator, One Manager and one Clerk) in all the six (6) Zilla Panchayaths of the Bidar South Assembly Constituency. However, the Hon'ble MLA has a Nodal office (With Technical Personnel, Managers, Secretaries and Computer operators), at Bidar City

6

RTO

I am glad that my initiative to bring in Road Transport Organisation (RTO) to Manna-E-Khelli, has made this village more vibrant and has facilitated people of Manna-E-Khelli in various business activities. The RTO has facilitated its services to various types of Vehicles passing through this village.

7

Transformers

The bitter truth is that there are illegal connections which induce higher load on the existing transformers and hence, I have initiated the GESCOM officials to replace the failed transformers with the next higher load carrying capacity transformer. It means that, if a transformer fails more than twice a month due to high load and if its capacity is 63 KVA then a 100 KVA transformer should replace this. If this policy is adopted, it will reduce the hardship caused to the farmers thus avoiding any delay caused in rectifying the failure of small capacity transformers (like in the past) and also reduces corruption.

8

Model PHC

A new PHC has been allocated to Ghodampalli village to service 8 villages and 5 sub-centers. I have initiated to bring in a State-of-Art Mobile Medical Unit costing Rs. 1.3 Crores to service the people of my constituency through the MLA Fund. There is also a need for a good Multi-Specialty Hospital for the constituency.

9

Karanja Major Irrigation project

The farmers affected by the “Karanja Major Irrigation project” need to be rehabilitated in the truest sense. The Rehabilitated settlement does not have adequate social and physical infrastructure facilities and looks more like “Refugee camps”. The same has to be rectified at the earliest. The compensation award for the people through the High court orders is not yet implemented by the Government even after one year of the verdict. I request the Government to honour the verdict at the earliest.
